3D Mark Benchmarking/Stresstesting Tool deployed
Time Spy Extreme is a 4K version of the Time Spy DirectX 12 benchmark
Vulcanus ranks in the top 19% of benchmarks worldwide
Max temp: 67C
This is a 38.96% increase from Vulcanus' last benchmark.
Port Royal is a Real-time ray tracing benchmark @ 2560 x 1440
Max Temp recorded: 69C
This is a 64.44% performance increase over Vulacanus' Last Benchmark
Steel Nomad
Steel Nomad as a new benchmark testing DX12
Vulcanus reached 86.84FPS scoring 1.6% below average
Time Spy Extreme Stress Test
Time Spy Stress Test runs Time Spy Extreme continuously for 20 loops without pausing or reloading between loops. A full test lasts around 20 minutes.
To pass this test a system must achieve frame rate stability of 97%
Vulcanus achieved a frame rate stability of 99.1% with a 101 average FPS average and GPU temp of approx 69C offering significant improvements over the RTX4070Ti.

As with benchmarking for the commissioning of Vulcanus we are adopting real world benchmarks to gauge performance changes between the GPUs.
The RTX 4070Ti benchmarks presented here were performed on 4th February 2025.
Bethesda's Indiana Jones requires hardware raytracing by default. My normal settings show a satisfactory 44.94% increase.
Dropping to High settings but Increasing to Medium path tracing in balanced upscaling demonstrates shows a 31.9% increase to go above the 90FPS sweet spot.
High Settings but with full path tracing and 2x frame generation and DLSS Ultra performance upscaling the results demonstrate the power of the 50 Series Frame Generation to well above a playable frame rate.
A 55.9% increase in Bethesda's Starfield.
Black Myth Wukong's static benchmark shows a satisfactory 46.3% increase
.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a mixed bag and a difficult to benchmark but at the highest acceptable settings of the RTX4070Ti we see the RTX5080 tame them to a far more acceptable framerate
With raytracing on the title is far more acceptable with a 50.5% increase to bring it over the 90FPS sweet spot.
Nacon's Robocop: Rogue City with it's Unreal 5 engine and Lumen needed 2x FG and some DLSS to get the highest quality smooth experience. The 5080 offers a 45.3% increase to play with an overhead.
Sony's God Of War is afforded a significant 71.8% performance increase
Sony's Spider-Man Remastered showed a 59.7% increase and the possible stuttering noted from the 4070Ti's 0.1% lows is eliminated.
Square Enix's FFXIV shows a modest 25% gain.
Note that the 0.1% lows are likely to be the benchmark loading different scenarios during a 3 minute run which is not the way other benchmarks are done (and not what the benchmark is actually designed to measure).
8 Game Average
49% increase in Average Frames Per Second
50% increase in 1% lows
57% increase on 0.1% Lows
Result: Success

Some additional Benchmarking was undertaken to discover increased playable settings above those that were viable with the RTX4070Ti
Pushing Black Myth Wukong to Full Ray Tracing sees a 19.5% FPS decrease over Medium RT, but retains the sweet spot of >90FPS
Incresing the Graphics settings to Cinematic (maximum) still yelds a playable experience.
Turning on Ultra graphics with full path tracing and ray reconstruction only relying on DLSS balanced for upscaling reduces Indiana Jones' performance below acceptable levels
Switching just 2x Frame Generation on is enough to make it playable however.
Under the RTX5080 Spider-Man doesn't need any frame gen or upscaling to run a smooth experience at maximum graphics settings with ray tracing on.
At 86FPS RoboCop could be played perfectly, especially due to the game's slower than average pace but DLSS Quality would make a smoother experience, but there's no longer a need for frame generation.
